Elite Player Development

The Elite Player Development Centre Programme is a regional coaching initiative, covering coaching centres in Suffolk, Essex Cambridgeshire and Norfolk. This season we have centres in Ipswich, Haverhill, Sudbury, Eye, Lowestoft, Tiptree, Newmarket, Bury St. Edmunds, Netherhall, Beccles and Thetford. The Elite PDC is the starting point in a player’s journey from trialist to an Academy Scholar, the first rung on the professional career ladder.

Players are identified by the club’s scouts and invited in for trials and if successful are invited to join the programme.

More information:

There are two blocks of coaching, running from September to January and February to June and in that time they receive coaching from FA/UEFA qualified coaches, with the sessions following the Academy schedule of work. The coaches then write a report at the end of each block, reviewing the individual progress made by each player.

The programme is overseen by Bradley Joy, Football Development Manager who is contactable via bradley.joy@itfc.co.uk

Academy Kit – Players who are members of the Elite PDC, Advanced Training Centre and Centre of Excellence Squads wear the Academy Kit with pride and it can be purchased from www.itfcdirect.com the kit is supplied by our Official Kit Partner Adidas and is also worn by Academy Players.
